A Few Days in Ojai...

During the days following Memorial Day more than 250 industry professionals gathered once again for the forth annual NIA Spring meeting. This year's meeting hosted 8 sessions with industry experts presenting timely information on a wide variety of topics covering everything from GMOs, to marketing supplements in Mexico, to the impact of nutrition on epigenetics. If you are interested in a copy of their presentations….you’ll find them by clicking the Presentations button on the right.

We also enjoyed a round of golf on the amazingly beautiful Golf course, an early morning run, a horseback ride through the hills, a jeep tour and of course bocce ball and s’mores by the campfire along with the perfect band for the location. We woke to the sound of thousands of birds, and if we were looking….got a glimpse of the pink moment as the last rays of the sunset reflected against the mountains. The desserts and nightcaps reception was packed, and at our final breakfast in the herb garden, we were already planning what we were going to do next year. Click on the Photos button on the right for a photo recap of our meeting. Jon captured some great images!

A big thank you goes to the volunteers who helped put it all together, and especially to this year’s chair Laraine Heuring of Pharmachem. There are countless hours, emails, phone calls, and more that go into an event like this. We think you’ll agree it was worth the effort. A big thank you to our sponsors as well. Without them it quite frankly wouldn’t happen. We’ll see you in November for our fall meeting. Details will be posted shortly.
